But the physical pain, mental torture, and constant threat of death that he places on Macbeth and his family make the killing one of the most meaningful and important in the entire play. In order to live, Macbeth must keep Macduff in chains and free himself from the regime that he has lived in for most of his life.As for Lady Macbeth, she is the ultimate perfection of a character who is evil and yet admirable. Macbeth is perfect in every way: he is beautiful, rich, and wealthy, he is courageous, he is a killer, an d he has a strong hold on his emotions. Lady Macbeth only falls short of her husband's perfection because of her lack of love for him, her limited love for her son, and her lack of understanding of power and honor.And so the conflict between Duncan and Macbeth begins, which leads to a clash of two forces within Macbeth himself. He is filled with ambition and often acts with ill intent, but he is also filled with remorse and knows that his decision to murder Macduff was wrong.
